I expect your need for images will disappear as well. Furthermore, re-installing Mint, if that would ever be necessary, is a cinch. But my need for images has vanished, both because Linux Mint is so reliable, and because I've learned to avoid breaking stuff (see the second line in my signature).

That's what I used to do years ago, when I was still regularly using images. The Acronis Rescue Disk, which is a live disk you can boot from, is fully functional both for creating images and restoring images. My questions: 1.) can i carry on using Acronis for Mint (i tried a recover of the single. Problem is that i can do that only from Win 8.1. So once i booted into Win 8.1 i run Acronis, the prog very easily took images of Mint’s three separeted partitions ( /root - /home - /linux swap ) into one single. For Mint i first used Clonezilla.Iso good program but not to my liking. I regularly use Acronis True Image for Win 8.1. I would like to ask your opinions on how to obtain Mint partitions’ images. I like Mint and i won’t give it up do to the initial difficulties. I am a really newbie for what concerns the linux world and i am doing my best to get the feel of this OS. I have a home pc containing: 1 ssd windows 8.1 1 ssd Linux Mint 17.2 cinnamon 64 (installed a week ago) 1 hdd partitioned with 4 ntfs for general data.
